TRADUCTION DU BLOG en langues étrangères

Hello à toutes et à tous,

Petite amélioration aujourd'hui sur ce blog qui peut désormais être traduit en plusieurs langues.

En me promenant par ici : http://20petitsdoigts.canalblog.com/ ,  je suis arrivée par là  : http://aupaysdecali.canalblog.com/archives/2008/09/13/10562830.html ce qui m'a permis d'installer une nouvelle catégorie "BLOG TRADUIT EN PLUSIEURS LANGUES" en haut à droite.

Cela sera plus facile pour les visiteurs étrangers et permet aussi de leur souhaiter plus facilement la Bienvenue.

Merci au BLOG "20 PETITS DOIGTS" pour le lien et au BLOG "AU PAYS DE CALI" pour ses explications très claires.

J'ai eu un message d'une personne qui comprend le Russe et qui a donc testé la traduction. Il parait que c'est  peu compréhensible.

Donc je vais  probablement annuler cette nouvelle fonction tout au moins pour la langue Russe.

J'attend d'avoir l'avis d'une personne que je connais d'un autre pays pour voir si c'est la même chose dans une autre langue.

J'ai supprimé la langue Allemande car du point de vue d'une personne, bilingue allemand, a qui j'ai demandé son avis, cela n'est pas très clair du tout.

Pour le moment et selon vos avis divers, je conserve, l'anglais, le portugais, l'espagnol...pour le Roumain, à suivre..je vais avoir un avis d'une personne de langue maternelle.

Que penses-tu, pour ameliorer encore cette option, d'ecrire chaque langue dans sa propre langue, en particulier pour ceux qui pourraient ne pas etre familiers de l'alphabet latin...

Since I do not read any language but English well, I always use a translator to read the blogs of other countries. The Google Translation Tool does work fairly well translating some languages to English such as French, Spanish, and Italian...not perfect but well enough to understand (if you know the subject matter!). But when changing Russian, Hungarian, Chinese, Japanese or Romanian to English it is not good at all, terrible in fact.

I use translation quite often so am already familiar with many of the words I need to find but a great many American readers (most probably) would look at your side bar and not understand that BLOG TRADUIT EN PLUSIEURS LANGUES means this blog can be translated or even that the word Anglais means English -- yes, we are a very sad people. So while I enjoy and use the Translation tool, if you do not list it with that nice little graphic image with the country flags and then list the languages in their language I wonder if it would be used enough to make it worth your trouble even putting it up there.

Also using the translation tool sometimes means the comment function will not work and often it will not read links you put in your text either.

The way I use the translator is to open the web page in its original language. Then I open another page in the Google Translation Tool (here: http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=en#auto|en|). Then I copy and paste the original web page address into the translator. Now, I can bounce back and forth between the two pages. If I want to leave a comment I do it from the original page, if the links do not work as links I can go back to the original page and find them.

It actually takes work to read and enjoy a non-English blog, I do it because I do enjoy the beautiful blogs of many French, Spanish and Italian stitchers, I hope other non-native visitors can learn to use the Translation tool and begin to enjoy the many varied beauties and talents of fellow stitchers all over the world....but sadly, I really do doubt people will bother with the work involved to do it.

Bonjour, Comme je suis parfaitement bilingue (français-anglais). Je viens de regarder ta version anglaise. Elle est très bonne je lui donnerais un 8,5 sur 10. C'est évident que tout ne peut être parfait en traduction informatique mais c'est quand même un bon moyen de rejoindre beaucoup de visiteurs.
Ma suggestion: enlève le russe et garde les autres.
